I just wanted to officially thank you and your staff for all your help during my recent job search. While I have been in my new position just a short time, I do feel good about it. There are many challenges and the opportunity to add value to the business using my prior experience. During the search process I talked with hundreds of people. Sorry it took so long for me to get around to writing this letter. As you know, I accepted a position as Plant Manager. Howard, you told me during my interview with you last October that I was marketable at around $60,000 a year and that you would be disappointed if the campaign went longer than 3 months. As it turned out, you were uncanny in your predictions. This job is proving to be very challenging and rewarding. I want to thank you for your support and skills at a very difficult time in my life. Just a quick note to let you know where I'm at. On August 28th, I accepted the Sales Development Manager position. This position reports directly to the General Manager and is second in command with the Sales Manager who has 26 years with the company. I am provided a $36,000 base salary and bonus which will be between another $20,000 to $50,000 depending on my success, plus benefits. I have 12 sales people to train and we have 80 employees total. This was a new position created in the company (I believe you call this type of situation an emerging opportunity). I feel I am finally where my career should be. There once was a man from Belleville, whose change of career was no thrill. So he hired a group with an experienced driver, who could help this young fellow get an offer for higher! The letters he sent and the calls were all made, it was done, to be certain, so that bills could be paid. Interviews and appointments were made to and fro, results came slowly; predictably so! With jet ski and gear to shred water and weave, relieving his stress he set out to achieve. The down time enjoyed not recommend to each, hey, the summer was great with lots of time near the beach! Now the offers all coming, too many to choose, what a problem to have you really can't lose! Then a call came from Dearborn, to where he must go, opportunities, a future, transfer out to Frisco!! Your company's services have literally changed my life over these last couple of months. I came from a boring dog-eat-dog world of dead-end underemployment. And I felt typecast for my next dead-end-role. But your modern marketing strategies changed all of that for me. I was overall way impressed with the letter and resume content and organization. I would have NEVER thought to incorporate most of what I had constructed in the career profiles into a letter or resume of that magnitude!
